Corner Spot Bar says... Not this time team Sunshine - as they defeat them 121/115

It was another nail-biting finish last Sunday as Team Sunshine All Fours team played at home and were defeated by Corner Spot Bar from Back and Sargeant Street in Tunapuna.

These two teams met twice last year and Corner Spot Bar lost on both occasions. Since then Corner Spot Bar strengthened its team and pledged that last year’s defeats will not happen again. And this was the case as they were eventually able to overcome Team Palace.

At half time the score was an unprecedented 60/37 in Corner Spot Bar’s favor and the latter felt that it was all over for Team Sunshine, bar the shouting and, in Hang Jacks the half time score was 16/16. Victory was not so easy for Corner Spot Bar to accomplish however. Following a lovely Chinese meal prepared by Babsie Reid’s Home Away from Home in Arouca, Team Sunshine gave Corner Spot Bar the scare of its life and won 78 Bullseyes in the second half to Corner Spot Bar 61. There was much camaraderie on both sides and, at the end of the tournament, Corner Spot Bar was only able to eke out a Bullseye victory at 121/115 but they lost to Team Sunshine 32/44 on Hang Jacks. The awards were almost evenly divided.
