PM ROWLEY'S APRIL FOOL'S DAY INTERVIEW ON CNC3

People are accusing CNC3 of choosing April 1, 2019 (All Fool’s Day) to interview Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

They say Rowley tried to fool viewers with his answers to a number of questions posed to him by host Hema Ramkissoon. Rowley was questioned about the proposed sale of Paria Fuel Trading Company Ltd, which Energy Minister Franklyn Khan said was not for sale. He was also asked about the lease of the Point-a-Pierre refinery, the economy, crime, rental of AG Farisal-Rawi St Clair property, cricket and other topics.

He defended the rental of the property, saying that once AlRawi recused himself from the negotiations there is no corruption. On the question of crime, he said citizens are feeling safer now since there is a reduction in crime. He admitted that T&T is a violent society. But many viewers say that Rowley had very little answers to the questions about the economy and he never mentioned that the recession is over. He admitted that revenue was down that is why the government had to keep borrowing and borrowing money to pay its debts. Many persons are now saying that CNC 3 should now be called PNM 3 because of the soft questions Hema asked Rowley.
